The work of my group is mainly focused on the largest family of enzymes in land plants, cytochromes P450. We have two main objectives. The first is to reveal the function(s) of orphan P450 enzymes, both their enzymological properties and their role in the plant (structure, signaling, defense). The second is to understand how these functions evolved during land plant evolution. This knowledge is translated into biotechnological applications.
