We are interested in how epithelial cells interact with their microenvironment, focusing on the extracellular matrix and fibroblasts in gut homeostasis and during cancer invasion. Our research strategy combines cell biology techniques with live-cell imaging using different model systems such as organoids, ex-vivo tissue slices, transgenic mouse models, and patient-derived fibroblasts.
