Rapid genome evolution from cell division errors

My group studies mutational processes that drive rapid evolution of genomes. These processes include whole genome duplication, chromothripsis, and the chromosome breakage-fusion bridge cycle. One theme is the importance of nuclear architecture and integrity to maintain genome stability. Other projects address asymmetric cell division, formin-dependent actin assembly, and the mechanism of nuclear envelope assembly.
