My group seeks physical principles that explain how biomolecules are robustly organized in space and time, allowing cells to fulfill their function. We focus on how biomolecular condensates interact with the complex cellular environment and how cells control them. In close collaboration with experimentalists, we develop biophysical models using tools from statistical physics, dynamical system theory, fluid dynamics, and information theory.
