Lipids in membrane synthesis and signaling

Our research focuses on investigating the influence of specific lipids on cell biology and physiology in both bacteria and animals, considering their physical properties and regulatory actions. We aim to unravel the significance of bacterial fatty acids in growth and membrane synthesis, as well as the impact of particular fatty acids on signaling pathways related to development, neurodegenerative diseases, and obesity.
