Our group aims to understand the function of chromatin in genome regulation in higher eukaryotes. Chromatin itself is defined by a variety of measurable characteristics of a gene locus such as DNA methylation, histone modifications and DNA replication. In particular, we combine molecular biology and genomic approaches to generate comprehensive datasets which allow us to gain insights into sequence and structure determinants and to derive predictive models of regulation.
