Interpreting genome variation and early evolution

Our main topic is next-generation sequencing (NGS) elucidation of human diseases. This includes the widely-used GeneCards suite, a set of databases and tools for human genes, pathways and diseases. A recent focus is NGS interpretation via VarElect, with whole genome sequencing preparedness (data on enhancers and ncRNA genes). A parallel thread is computer-simulated models for pre-RNA prebiotic evolution.
