Regulatory RNA in bacteria: mechanisms and biology

My group works on a heterogeneous class of regulatory RNAs (small RNAs/ 'sRNAs') in bacteria, with a focus on their mechanisms of action, and their roles in physiological adaptation and stress responses. We also study Hfq, an RNA chaperone that acts as a platform on which sRNA/ mRNAs exchange and interact. More recently, we became interested in effects of sRNAs on phenotypic heterogeneity and on complex multitarget networks.
