Spatial representation in the mammalian brain

I am interested in how neural networks compute. The main focus of my lab is on how space is represented, stored and retrieved in the entorhinal cortex and hippocampus of the mammalian brain. The most significant contribution of my lab was probably the discovery of grid cells in the entorhinal cortex, which are thought to provide the metric of the mammalian spatial representation system.
