My research is dedicated to understanding the fundamental mechanisms of interactions between microbes and the host at mucosal surfaces, particularly in the gastrointestinal tract. This knowledge allows us to develop better diagnostics, treatments and vaccines to prevent and treat human and veterinary diseases.
