Regulatory RNAs and proteins in infection biology

We are interested in understanding how RNAs and proteins fine-modulate gene expression at the transcriptional, post-transcriptional and post-translational level in bacteria with a focus on human pathogens. We study signaling pathways that involve regulatory RNAs, CRISPR-Cas systems, Clp-mediated protein quality control, toxin-antitoxin systems in the interaction of bacteria with their environment (stress, mobile genetic elements and human host).
