My lab is studying cell development and behavior in the context of the live organism, using zebrafish primordial germ cells as a model. We examine the molecular mechanisms facilitating proper differentiation of these cells and determine the mechanisms allowing them to polarize, acquire motility and perform directed migration towards specific locations within the developing embryo.
