Molecular mechanisms of virus replication
My group focuses on the molecular mechanisms of influenza virus replication aiming to understand the molecular determinants of host range and virulence. We study the structure and function of the viral RNA polymerase, the mechanisms of transcription of viral genes and replication of the viral RNA genome, and the role of host factors in these processes. We are also interested in intracellular trafficking, innate immune sensing, and virus assembly.
