My group is focusing on three areas of research: (i) understanding how humans obtained their genetic diversity, (ii) the evolution of human pathogens, and (iii) changes in biological communities. Brought together, we hope to uncover possible relationships between humans, their pathogens and the environment. Our research is multidisciplinary in nature, but with ancient genomics and environmental DNA being primary tools.
