My scientific career has included developing strategic, service components, such as Ensembl or Reactome that supports scientific research and I have worked either in small or large groups doing research in genomics and computational biology. My strategic role continues as Director of EMBL-EBI. For my research role I split my work between algorithms for DNA sequence analysis, genetics for basic biology and large scale analysis
