Mutagenesis and genome evolution
My lab focusses on computational approaches for elucidating mutational processes that generate genetic diversity within populations and across species, with the goal of understanding mechanisms of mutagenesis, and how these vary across individuals. Furthermore, we devise methodologies to gain insight into evolution of genomes (including during carcinogenesis) by quantitating the interplay between mutation and selection.
