Our laboratory is devoted to the study of molecular physiology of insect multitrophic interactions, with a specific focus on insect immunity and immunosuppression strategies deployed by parasites and pathogens. We are particularly interested in the modulation of immunocompetency by biotic and abiotic environmental stressors, as a basis both to develop bioinspired molecular strategies for pest control and for protecting pollinators.
