I have been working on CRISPR since the early 1990s. Over that period, my group has made significant contributions to this field of research. Among them, I would like to highlight the revelation of the role played by CRISPR and their associated Cas proteins as the adaptive immune system of prokaryotes. We are currently involved in the functional and biochemical characterization of new CRISPR-Cas variants.
