Research in my lab focuses on the identification of immune correlates of protection against HIV/AIDS which are essential for the development of an efficient AIDS vaccine. We are aiming at understanding immune mechanisms at play in different models of natural protection either against HIV infection (placental barrier, exposed uninfected individuals) or against AIDS disease (HIV controllers, African non-human primates).
