My lab studies the role of developmental pathways such as Wnt, Notch and Hedgehog in stem cell biology and oncogenesis. We are interested in targeting these pathways to treat cancer and understanding the consequences of interfering with oncogenic drivers on tumor response and resistance. We have uncovered a major role for cell plasticity in the maintenance of homeostasis and in evading cancer therapies and are studying its underlying mechanisms.
