The mobile cells of the immune system navigate through cues given by the sessile stromal cells of our tissues. An additional source of information is the symbiotic microbiota that colonizes many surfaces and organs of our body. My lab aims at understanding the functional trilogy between immune cells, stromal cells and microbiota that leads to our operational equilibrium, resistance to pathology and health.
