Our laboratory exploits genomics to investigate infections from the perspective of pathogen and host, with a specific interest in mucosal interactions involving enteric bacteria. Phylogeny provides a framework to identify genome variation by which to link genotype to phenotype. We also exploit the Sanger mouse resource to identify novel infection control genes.
