Stress kinases in metabolism and cancer

My work examines the role of stress kinases in the development of metabolic diseases to characterize the network of this pathway. We have found that p38gamma/delta control TNF production in macrophages through the phosphorylation of eEF2K and are activated in liver during steatosis. These kinases also control heart growth through the phosphorylation and degradation of DEPTOR. We also investigate the role of p38 kinases in adipose tissue browning.
