The main focus of my research is studying the interaction of pathogenic bacteria with blood vessels during septicemia and meningitis; and more specifically meningococcal invasive infections. We strive to gain a basic understanding of these infection processes to develop innovative treatment strategies. The work in my lab is characterized by a highly multidisciplinary approach and by studies at all scales, from proteins to whole organisms.
