My research goal is to uncover the principles that link the structure, dynamics and function of the brain at multiple levels, from the molecular/cellular, through local neuronal circuits, to the whole brain. Using mathematical methods of statistical physics, dynamical systems, and information theory, my lab studies the dynamics and functions of local cortical circuits, synaptic plasticity, memory and learning, and neuronal population codes.
