Our group investigates the structural and mechanistic basis of gene expression machineries in eukaryotic cells, with a particular focus on organellar and viral gene expression. We combine structural biology methods including single-particle cryo-EM and cryo-electron tomography with biochemical and cellular methods in order to dissect these gene expression systems from the atomic to the cellular scale.
