My lab is focused on stem cell biology, regenerative medicine and aging, in particular in muscle. We are unraveling the molecular mechanisms that regulate stem cell function in regeneration. Our approach is multidisciplinary, bringing together biologists, bioinformatics experts, and bioengineers. Our current primary focus is understanding the gerozyme 15-PGDH, a novel master regulator of muscle aging.
