Origin of body asymmetries in the mouse embryo

My lab has been studying how morphological asymmetries, such as left-right asymmetry, develop in the mouse embryo. We currently investigate (i) the role of motile and immotile cilia in left-right symmetry-breaking and (ii) the origin of the anterior-posterior polarity.

Keywords: Early mouse development / left-right asymmetry / body axis / TGF-beta signaling / cilia / Nodal
