My group is interested in three-dimensional structure determination of dynamic macromolecular complexes by single particle electron cryomicroscopy with a special focus on optimizing sample preparation and development of new image processing algorithms. The main goal is to study dynamic macromolecules in motion at high resolution. We mainly work on RNP complexes like the spliceosome and the ribosome. Another major focus is the anaphase promoting complex.
