Cancer genetics and evolution

My interests lie in three main areas of cancer: (i) susceptibility, especially genetics; (ii) mechanisms of tumorigenesis resulting from cancer driver mutations; and (iii) evolution, both theroretical and experimental, focussing on the roles of selection and genomic instability. My group works principally on colorectal cancer, but has projects on several cancer types. We are especially interested in mechanisms shared by tumours of different sites.
