Our lab explores how adult organs, especially the gut, remodel in response to experience. We investigate how intestinal cells sense cues, coordinate organ-wide changes and signal to other tissues. Using experimental and computational approaches across flies, mice and humans, we study sex and reproductive differences in gut form and function to illuminate the mechanisms linking gut plasticity to whole-body physiology and disease.
