Research in the Mansuy lab examines the epigenetic basis of behavior and cognitive functions in mammals across generations. It investigates the epigenetic mechanisms involving DNA methylation, histone post-translational modifications and non-coding RNAs in the brain and germline relevant for transgenerational epigenetic inheritance. This research is tightly linked to the clinic and has potential for the development of future therapeutic treatments for cognitive and psychiatric diseases.
