My lab aims to define the molecular mechanisms that establish an appropriate equilibrium between accurate and mutagenic DNA repair pathways, and to understand why imbalances in this regulation result in cancer and human disease. We also conduct projects that aim to discover additional processes driving chromosomal instability in cancer, in the hope of identifying cellular defects that can be exploited to selectively kill cancer cells.
