Chromatin and transcription in S. cerevisiae

My group uses the budding yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae as a model organism in which to study how non-coding RNAs, histone-modifying enzymes, and higher order structures in chromatin – determined using predictive pattern recognition algorithms and conformation capture techniques – influence the response of the organism to changes in the environment, particularly the relationship between nutrient availability, growth and longevity.
