Our lab has pioneered the reprogramming of cellular protein translation to introduce unnatural amino acids into proteins, & provided foundational technologies for encoded, evolvable polymer synthesis. We have also invented methods for introducing, homogeneous, site-specific post-translational modifications into proteins as well as methods for controlling and dissecting processes in cells and organisms with unprecedented spatial and temporal precision.
