My group is working in the field of systems biology of metabolism. This involves approaches to study and engineer the metabolism of yeast for production of fuels and chemicals, and for studying human metabolism with the objective of identifying novel biomarkers and drug targets for metabolic diseases like type-2 diabetes, Alzheimer's disease, liver diseases, and cancer.
