Function of microtubular proteins in neurons

Jesus Avila is Professor and former Director of the Molecular Biology Center Severo Ochoa, Madrid, Spain. Now is the scientific Director of CIBERNED (Center of Research in Neurodegeneration). His research is related to neuronal cytoskeleton and Alzheimer's disease and other tauopathies. In his work, his group is using genetically modified mice as models for the analyzed diseases.
