Plant telomere biology and epigenetics
We are interested in the structure, evolution and maintenance of telomeres and their roles in chromosome stability and plant speciation. Based on our recent characterisation of telomerase RNAs across land plants, we focus on the biogenesis and evolution of plant telomerases. The other topics of our research include epigenetic mechanisms involved in the regulation of gene expression, chromatin assembly, genome stability and telomere homeostasis.
