Chromosome folding mechanisms

My group is interested in how chromosomes fold inside cells and how this folding contributes to accurate gene regulation in interphase, and chromosome transmission during mitosis. We developed 3C, 5C and Hi-C technologies to probe the spatial organization of genomes and are studying chromosome dynamics during the cell cycle to uncover the mechanisms by which cells fold their genomes.
