The focus of my lab is to understand the functional principles of molecular chaperones, the cellular machines of protein folding and how they shape the conformational space accessible to proteins. In this context, we are also interested in the evolution of antibody folding and assembly. We employ a range of techniques, from cellular assays to biochemistry and biophysics.
Keywords: Molecular chaperones / protein folding / folding catalysts / antibody structure formation / molecular quality control
