My research seeks to establish how cortical networks coordinate body posture while freely moving animals interact with their 3D environment. We do this by combining high-fidelity tracking of the face, head and trunk with large-scale neural recordings. A major goal is to understand how population codes of stimuli from the outside world interact dynamically with population codes for the posture of the behaving individual.
