Our lab studies the process of eukaryotic chromosome replication. We focus in particular on the replisome, the complex and highly-regulated molecular machine responsible for accurate and efficient DNA replication. To do so we assemble fully-functional replisomes from individual purified proteins. This enables us to elucidate key replisome mechanisms using functional DNA replication assays and structure determination by electron cryo-microscopy.
