I am interested in the environmental and genetic influences on individual fitness in wild populations. My group developed methods for parentage analysis using genetic markers, which enables us to estimate male breeding success and, using the resultant pedigrees, to estimate the amount and effects of inbreeding and to investigate additive genetic variation for various traits. Nowadays I am using genomic methods to further dissect trait architecture.
