My group investigates how the metabolic flexibility of astrocytes shapes neuronal activity and organismal behavior. By integrating genetic, biochemical, and behavioral approaches, we identify molecular regulators of brain cell metabolism and determine how metabolic pathways influence neural function. Our goal is to understand how brain metabolism controls behavior in health and disease and to inform strategies to preserve metabolic resilience.
