Understand the roles of tumour blood vessels

My laboratory's focus is on understanding the molecular regulation of tumour angiogenesis. Our studies have shown that integrins and their downstream signals, including focal adhesion kinase, can regulate angiogenesis. Most recently, our work uncovers novel approaches to increase chemosensitisation by targeting tumour blood vessels, rather than tumour cells themselves, thus providing new strategies for cancer therapy.
