Genetics and pathology of deafness

My primary interest is the genetics of deafness, using mouse mutants to gain access to the molecules involved in normal auditory function. I am interested in understanding the process of disease from the molecular defect to the function of the whole organism. My group is currently focussing on the pathology underlying progressive hearing loss.
