My team focuses on understanding the molecular and cellular mechanisms controlling vascular formation during development, regeneration and disease. Our work has provided significant insights into the origins and specification of lymphatic vessels in the embryo, the crosstalk between lipoproteins and the endothelium, the instructive role of the vasculature in organ growth and regeneration, and the mechanisms underlying vascular malformations.
