My research aims to tackle major questions in organ formation, in particular how molecular events affect physical properties and changes at the tissue scale. We seek to understand the importance of cytoskeletal crosstalk, the coordination of events and forces, and the role of spatial and temporal control by upstream transcriptional regulation, studying highly tractable model processes in Drosophila and powerful human organoid culture.
Keywords: Development / tubulogenesis / cytoskeletal crosstalk / cell shape control / epithelial cells / mesenchymal-to-epithelial transition / quantitative imaging
