Research in my team focuses on the role stem cells play during homeostasis and disease. To understand how stem cells are normally regulated, we draw parallels between cell behaviour during development, homeostasis, regeneration and cancer. The aim of our work is to provide a better insight into how stem cells are regulated at the molecular level during these diverse processes, which can be exploited for the development of new therapies.
