My group is studying endocytosis and intracellular transport, as well as exosome secretion. In several studies plant and bacterial toxins, such as ricin and Shiga toxin, are used to characterize retrograde transport to the Golgi and the ER. Exosomes are investigated partly to find protein and lipid biomarkers for cancer diagnosis. Our competence in cell biology is now also being used in a project concerning biodegradable nanoparticles.
